The Story Behind The Music
(and sample tracks)
In 2007 I was invited to tour and record in Japan. I always loved Japanese audiences, and to make this recording special, I chose 4 Japanese melodies that every Japanese person would recognize, and arranged them for trio. They were the highlight of the tour. Surrounding these 4 tunes are some of my originals and some well known standards. I was happy to bring my 2 longtime partners: Trey Henry on Bass and Ray Brinker on Drums.

The Physical CD: I’d prefer for people to have all the tracks in the creative packaging that we all worked so long and hard on from concept to completion. I’m old school like that, I want people to hear my music in context.
