I’ve always wanted to release a recording of all original music and Trey, Ray and I certainly poured everything we had into this. I really hope that the concept behind The Originals is as fun for the listener as it was to us.

When we work together we hear more and more ideas in our heads. We try them out, they pass, fail or leave us laughing and wondering if we can ever capture that moment again. I know that’s the norm for every musician in a band, but we’ve played together for thirty years and can sense pretty far ahead where each other is going. Of course the whole point is to imagine and develop new ideas and colors. One new element from Trey can add a nice little vibe or lead to changing our entire canvas. That balance of not knowing what will happen on stage and being open to each other’s ideas leads us to some fun discoveries.
